About Shawn Peterson

I’m Shawn Peterson, the founder of Shawnie’s Cinema and an 19-year-old photographer passionate about capturing stories. Growing up as a military child and living around the world gave me a deep appreciation for life’s moments, which I now freeze through my lens.

At 16, my journey began with a camera gifted by my mom, sparking a love for photography that has taken me from weddings and wildlife to sports and astrophotography. My mantra, “Your story, cinematically captured,” reflects my mission to turn memories into lasting legacies.

Currently studying international business at the University of Cincinnati, I dream of becoming a National Geographic Wildlife Photographer while growing my business. Through Shawnie’s Cinema, I aim to inspire others to see the beauty in their own stories — one cinematic frame at a time.
